Have you ever found cartoon food more appealing than the real thing? Here are 10 times cartoons gave us food envy. Dig in!
1. “Hunny” – Winnie the Pooh
Here’s a prime example of unrealistic expectations given to children by Disney. Nobody’s going to be smiling after putting their hand into a jar of honey. Pooh would’ve had sticky fur for days. OH BOTHER.

2. Pizza – Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
If you watched TMNT, you probably remember Michelangelo’s appetite for pizza. You might be forgiven for mentally blocking out some of the toppings he enjoyed: marshmallow and pepperoni, tea and toast and my personal least favourite tuna fish, peanut butter and grape jelly! Gross, dude.

3. Reptar Bar – Rugrats
The kids were addicted to these dinosaur-shaped chocolate bars and I don’t blame them. “The meanest, the best, it’s better than the rest, Reptar Bar, Reptar Bar, the candy bar supreme! The candy bar that turns your tongue gre-e-en!”

4. Pizza – Daria
Daria and Jane would spend most afternoons hanging out at Pizza King. She loved the food so much, she ended her high school graduation speech with these words: “…and there is no aspect, no facet, no moment of life that can’t be improved with pizza. Thank you.”

5. Donuts – The Simpsons
Homer eats a lot of food but the pink iced donuts with sprinkles are definitely the drool-worthiest. The show’s Lard Lad Donuts are so iconic that you can now buy them from Universal Studios.

6. The Grey Stuff – Beauty and the Beast
During the “Be Our Guest” number, Lumiere offers Belle a plate of hors d’œuvres and encourages her to: “Try the grey stuff, it’s delicious!” It’s actually meant to be something like pâté but at Disney World’s Be Our Guest restaurant you can try a dessert version. Oui please!

7. Lasagna – Garfield
Garfield’s creator Jim Davis thought it would be funny to have a cat who loves lasagna. There’s nothing funny about how delicious this Italian dish looks. I especially love how he throws it into his wide-open mouth.

8. Cookies – Alice in Wonderland
Even though one bite of these magical cookies makes you super-sized, I’d still take one/try one/eat one.

9. Dumplings – Sailor Moon
To be honest, when I was younger I didn’t even know what dumplings were. I thought these were powdered donuts. Nevertheless, girl knows how to eat. I’d be happy with the nickname “Dumpling Head”.

10. Birthday Cake – Sleeping Beauty
Okay so Fauna totally flubbed it and it would have been inedible (eggshells and a teaspoon?!) but this looked gooey and amazing.
