Winter

Hit of the Season: Lorelai’s Sweater

It has a hot dog on it! It’s Lorelai through and through.

LORELAI

She is at her best (dressed) in Winter. Lots of cute coats and fun prints, a pretty brown handbag and gorgeous gold bangle make her winter wardrobe a winner. I can forgive her one misstep this season – the hideous newsboy cap with the flower cause it’s paired with a nice coat and scarf.

LANE

Her fashion in the revival leaves a LOT to be desired but this coffee sweater/floral vest pairing is cute.

EMILY

Her style is very much on point in the revival but in Winter her funeral outfit is best.

RORY

Her fashion in the revival is very disappointing. There are a lot of boring shirts, sneakers and oversized t-shirts. That being said, I do like her Friday Night Dinner outfit and polka dot scarf look.

LUKE

You hardly see him out of his flannel uniform so the funeral scenes are a special treat!  He looks so dapper in a three-piece suit!

PARIS

It’s hard to believe that she was asking Rory for fashion advice in the early seasons. She could definitely give Rory a few pointers in the revival! Both of these outfits are perfect.

NAOMI

Her style is one of the only reasons I wasn’t bored during the London scenes. Everything she wears is so fun and quirky! An edgier Miss Frizzle?

THE STARS HOLLOW SNOWFLAKES

Emily in jeans and a t-shirt is just wrong.

Spring

Hit of the Season: Paris’ Chilton Outfit

It’s professional and smart and the frilly pink blazer adds an element of femininity.

LORELAI

While not as good as Winter, her wardrobe in Spring is still impressive. Lots of light colours and floral prints.

NAOMI

Shame to say goodbye to her in Spring – well, shame to say goodbye to her clothes.

BABETTE

The only outfit of her’s that caught my attention – how cute is the flower brooch?

KIRK

I know it was for Eraserhead but he still looked good in this suit and tie.

EMILY

She splashed out with colour in Spring. Although I like her more modern sleek style in the revival (e.g. the black pant suit), it’s nice to see her in her trademark look (the pink and blue button downs with the gold necklace).

FRANCIE

I loved her dress and necklace but disliked her heels and bag.

RORY

I thought her overall look in Spring was kind of boring. That being said, it was probably her best season. I LOVED her look during the “lines” storyline (those gingham heels tho) and thought her lucky outfit was okaaaay – although Lorelai might have been right about it washing her out.

CASSIE

I mean who even is Cassie? But the girl sure can dress!

SANDEESAYS EMPLOYEES

I am not into Sandee’s style at all but how cute are the outfits of these two SandeeSays employees?

Misses of the Season

What was she thinking?! Pearls?! A white trench coat?! THAT HAT?! NO NO NO.

This is the outfit Rory wore to a really important meeting. THIS OUTFIT. She looks like a clueless farm girl who’s trying to make it in the big city!

Summer

Hit of the Season: Lorelai’s Peach Shirt and Fruit Skirt

Playful, bright and flattering – this is one of Lorelai’s best looks of the revival! Love the up-do as well.

LORELAI

Her wardrobe makes everyone else’s (namely Rory’s) look boring and frumpy. Whether she’s poolside or at work, she’s totes stylin’ y’all!

APRIL

Hear me out. While this outfit is not something I would wear personally, it fits her character so perfectly! From the rasta beanie, to the cargo pants, to the cute floral sneakers, it is just so random and fitting.

THIRTY-SOMETHING GIRL

Rory could really get some fashion pointers from this chick whose town meeting ensemble is flirty and fun.

THE DAR

Love the pretty summer pastels, Emily’s pussy bow and the neckline of the woman to the left of her.

LANE

Her top and silver flats her are exactly what she should be wearing. Not that frumpy cover up she’s seen in during the floaty hut scene!

Misses of the Season

Rory suddenly becomes a hippy when she’s lounging by the pool. This is so bizarre. Don’t get me started on that baggy red top at the town meeting! WTF?

Fall

Hit of the Season: Lorelai’s Elopement Dress

Although I’m not a fan of the top hat theme (which is so clearly Amy Sherman-Palladino’s style NOT Lorelai’s), her black dress and red heels are perfection.

LORELAI

Trust her to look cute while (planning to go) hiking! That being said, I’m not sure she could get any cuter than she is in the overalls and Converse sneakers.

RORY

One of my (only) favourite looks for her. The bouncy ponytail, the denim jacket, the short skirt – it works!

THE LIFE AND DEATH BRIGADE

Also not a fan of the steampunk theme which I think is, again, ASP’s own personal style not the characters’. But I buy this more than the top hat hedge in the wedding!

EMILY

Her Nantucket casual wear is everything.

JESS

No, I was wrong. Jess in this outfit is everything.

LANE

Unsure why she is at the wedding instead of Sookie but I love the outfit that she threw together in the middle of the night.
